This certified document is written in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, it being the 4th of Hathur; the 6th of the Moon; the day of the [ (?) ]; Year of the Martyrs 1003; King Sumon being king of Dotawo; Ashilla being queen-mother; Kiddi being granary keeper; Sulos being anye joknashi; Douresê being property manager; Kortali being great scribe; Azaros being bishop of Dongola; Gourresê being eparch of Nobadia; Kosma being bishop of Ibrim;

I, Iôoshsha, arapil to the town, sell Gourresê a share in the land of the church of Gabriel. The children of Ane, being without denial, gave it. On the south the boundary is Kollouthos’s plot and on the north the boundary is Kollouthos’s. The price I received is 13 gold.

And I, Iôosshsha, both today and forever (?), holding 1 plot, approached (?) Ane’s children. I sold Gourresê a share called Api the Domestikos. The price I received is 6 gold. On the south the boundary is the land of Merkurios of the valley. On the north the boundary is Sorêoti.

And the witnesses of this are, first: Kosma, Bishop of Ibrim, wrote; the son of the bishop witnessed; the son of Ori; Kasim, the goush of Ado; Aianos.d..a the Tot of She. I, Paponga the priest, writing this, witnessed it.
