Adam Simmons is a student of the study of the Crusades, particularly in relation to the effects of the Crusades with the Christian Sudanese kingdoms. His main research focus is on Latin, Greek and Arabic ethnonyms concerning the Sudanese region.
From October 2015 he will be a PhD student at Lancaster University.
